About Daughter Boy
Daughter Boy is performance duo and creative team made up of Camilla Frontain and Felipe Carrasco. We first started collaborating in our graduate training at SMU, where it became clear that we had shared interests in released honest acting, as well the aesthetic of physical and imaginative-based work.
It also became clear to us that we love each other.
Daughter Boy is the merging of our identities, knowledge, and passion in pursuit of a shared mission: to create work that unlocks and frees the individual artist in order to serve the collective whole.
Felipe Carrasco is a Chicago-based actor, collaborator and educator. From his early days he was most often seen kicking a soccer ball, singing, or playing make-believe. Upon finishing a three year Division I athletic career, he found himself settling into the world of acting and storytelling.
With a proximity to the complexities of mental health, disability, and suicide – Felipe is passionate about revealing the many shades and layers of the human soul. He believes in the power of empathy, hope and joy while also honoring the many difficult realities of being alive.
Felipe has an MFA in Acting from SMU, and has worked at and with theatres including but not limited to A Red Orchid Theatre, Goodman Theatre, Lookingglass Theatre Company, Teatro Vista, St. Louis Repertory, Dallas Theatre Center, and The Artistic Home.
He loves the outdoors, cookies, and running said cookies off in Sunday Men’s League soccer games.

Camilla Frontain is a kaleidoscope of a human. Since she was small, she was the strange little non-binary kid who played the tuba and couldn't stop talking about education reform. Now, her constant fascination is with merging her three greatest loves: photography, acting, and education.
Her photography journey has evolved over the last 14 years, culminating in an offering entitled The Honoring- a process of honoring the life of her subjects through embodied explorations.
After graduating from SMU with an MFA in Acting, she has recently returned from Bulgaria as a recipient of a Fulbright grant. She taught English via explorations of individual and collective creativity in the classroom. The experience she had abroad was life-changing, and clarifying.
Her entire family is made up of actors and artists and she is happiest when love, family, and creativity come together to make some kick ass art. And also probably some kick ass banana bread too.
